easter thursday

yet another simple day for me

* a blackbird sat in the old apple tree and listened to me as I talked to it
* I discovered more frogs eggs in my pond
* I ate too many easter eggs
* I endured at least 8 hot flushes during today and drank about 6 cups of oat-straw tea to try and counteract them. not sure if it is working
* ate too many easter eggs
* I wondered what to blog about and even contemplated walking away from blogging because I have nothing to say
* and I ate too many easter eggs

tomorrow, I hope the mental blank has disappeared or is this fog part of my life now?

the fog of menopause when you call your husband and tell him that the air conditioning in the car is not working, so you drive up the road in the heat, with the windows down, trying to get cool and when you drive into the driveway, you realize you have had the heater on. is this what happens in the fog of menopause?

Dear Robyn,
Yesterday I posted about these annoying hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings I have been having. I am looking for natural ways to counteract them. I have to sleep with the windows wide open, even then I wake up sweating, then followed by the chills. It's terrible when I am out somewhere to be taken over by a hot flash. I am with you on this one, my brain is ever so foggy.
Stay cool
Hugs:)

I can actually say I didn't have a menopause. No hot flashes. No mood swings. Nothing. One month it just disappeared and that was it.

It's hard to understand why no one would come to see your house! I'd be all over it like a dirty shirt if I was there!!

Don't feel bad about blogging. I'm lucky if I post once a month, sometimes less. Don't post so often just wait till the blogging mojo takes you and do it then!!

My daughter in law called me last night to say they are coming up tomorrow!! I have no food in the house, no beds ready, nothing!! My son gets home from Germany tonight so I really wasn't expecting them!!

it's all in direct proportion to the amount of chocolate required for sanity purposes!!
Have a lovely Easter.

This sounds to me like what happens in the fog of being very tired after a stressful time (medical) and knowing you are in the run-up to another stressful time (house-moving)...
And I'm sure that you're right about the future of Inglewood; the right person will come in their own good time.
Have a wonderful Easter meanwhile! - I hope you are able to enjoy a much-earned rest and see your family.

oh sweetie, I wish I could tell you it gets better but that 'menopausal fog' is hard to shake! My closet is full of cashmere sweaters I won't get rid of becaues I love them and hope to wear them again some day, haven't worn them in years! I dress in layers now so I can peel off my clothing when I get what I like to call 'Power Surges'.

I remember that fog well Robyn.Disappointed with myself that I had once again left my glasses at home and unable to see prices out shopping, I picked out yet another pair on the revolving display at the chemists, only able then to complete half the day out and about. When I got home my husband said "You realize you have one pair of glasses on your head and one on your nose...".Happy Easter and enjoy the magpies over your way, they were chortling magnificently here this morning.Your query re the churches here? Adelaide is still "the city of churches", with very conservative views generally. No trouble filling the pews this time of year.
