taking a break

I need to take a break. I am tired... I am not depressed but just this physical tiredness has overcome me the past week or so. I think the past year is catching up ~ Daisy's death, Mum, Christmas, being the shoulder for everyone.... and I need to rest. I need to look after myself so that my immune system does not get depleted again. I can't bring myself to blog or even think about visiting other blogs. All I want to do is nest. I want to go through my home, room by room and have a good sort out. I want to weave magick into my home. I want to create meals and be in my garden... truthfully, I may be away a day, a week or a month. I just don't know but I do know I need to take the pressure of myself with blogging. Plus, the past week, I keep smelling this gorgeous 'perfume' around me. Not all the time but it is the most exquisite waft and I don't know what it is.. sometimes I think I am imagining it but then I smell it again. Daily. I want to sit and discover what it is.
so my friends, I am off on a 'pilgrimage' I guess... stay well. xoxo

You have a good sort out and a great rest. I will miss you very much, but I understand what you mean. Bake some lovely cakes, clean the rooms and find out which lovely lady wears that sweet perfume ; )
I hope to hear from you after you have rested !! take care !!!

I DO so hope that you are ok! This post sounds a bit scary to me… Hope you get back to blogging soon, I would really miss you! Though I know it best myself that there is a lot more important things in “real” life than blogs. I just want to let you know that I think of you as a friend, not a blogger. Hugs from the other side of the world! Take the time you need!

Considering the time of year, it makes sense that you need to retreat and hibernate from blogging for a while. Enjoy your home, enjoy resting and recovering. We are with you in spirit dear friend.

In some religious circles we call that the "odor of holiness." It is believed when you smell this wonderful perfume, the Holy Ones are near, perhaps to teach or guide or maybe they just like being with you! I know we all do. This is certainly a time to enjoy the fruits of your labors and the harvest of the heart. Take as long as you need and keep in touch when you are able. Many blessings to you, Dear One. I bow to the Goddess in you!

Take care and enjoy your time. I think you are the kind of woman who is all or nothing it seems. You give something like your blog all your energy and creativity and then you need a break every so often. Blessings and I look forward to your eventual return.

Have a good rest Robyn and nurture yourself - I feel the same at the moment and I can't be bothered with blogging at all. I'm taking a day out today to go and look for otters on the River Derwent. The perfume - I smell it sometimes too - and I know then that there is a spirit presence.

Have a wonderful magick break . . . be gentle on yourself and know that it is okay.
Remember too that it's Fall where you are "The time for harvesting the potentialities that lie within".
I found myself really going inward last fall and winter . . . Was worried that I was isolating myself and wondering why? Major thought changes were, and still are, happening. Through my Pheonix Rising work I realized that I am pre-menopausal. My focus is changing from caring about others to looking inward and what is really important for me. Blessed Be Ms R*. Island Girl

Hi Robyn. You have lots of sisters here. I decided to take a page from YOUR book. I switched to an entirely different blog for my primary blog. Refreshing myself. Refocusing my objectives. Revitalizing my body and spirit. I'm with you on the road.

I will miss your posts, but self care is so important. You are wise to take the time you need. I hope you are soon feeling better.

Sounds like you need a holiday right away from home. We came back after 5 days in Darwin - absolutely stuffed, but in a happy way! Still tired, but still remembering the fun we had and the things we saw.

My comment isnt here, weird. that happened on a couple of blogs this week.

take some time out Robyn, only you know what you really need. Life is difficult sometimes- i know that too- and sometimes withdrawing into ourselves is what we need deep inside. sending you peace and comfort.

Hi, Robyn,

This break of yours has been extended way longer than your other breaks, but I don't have a bad feeling about it.

Just the opposite - I feel your peace and contentment lately and I revel in it. I am happy that you have been able to achieve what so many of us strive to achieve.

Love, peace, blessings and hugs to you. I am always thinking of you no matter how little you - or I - blog or comment.

Love, Julie

P.S. -

You know that scent comes from Daisy - I felt it several times recently when writing or thinking about her. Remember, I emailed you about it.

I am not one to feel these sorts of sensations, but about this mysterious perfume I am absolutely sure.
