the open house

tonight was the official open night for our home.. where the real estate agent invites would be buyers to have a special preview before it is on the market..

expecting about 20 people to come through, I thought a nice platter of cheese to go with the 'champagne' would be a nice touch. and for the quirky part of my nature, I supplied a bowl of small Easter Eggs.[confession of sorts:I put the Easter eggs out early in the day.. and quite a few made their way into my mouth & I guess will end up on my hips]

it was a misty, rainy afternoon so the fire was lit & candles flickered throughout our home. Deuter played quietly in the background

dutch husband & I went out to a meeting and left the real estate agents to welcome people...

but no one came. not one person. at first i was disappointed BUT I know that the perfect person is out there to buy and love Inglewood just as I do and I know that everything will happen in perfect Divine time.. I know that because I keep 'hearing' it.

They obviously don't know what they are missing - silly people! But I'm sure the right person is out there, waiting in the wings.

That's right!! How disappointing for you..I can just feel your heart drop. But yes, the right person will come..It seems like such a fabulous house, I wish I could buy it. You just finished up worrying about your tests...Do not be tempted to jump into something else to worry about!! Give yourself a giant break from it(worry) it is not your friend!!! Let your heart be light..Don't let worry take over in that active little head of yours!!!

Maybe the rain kept everyone away. I wish I could have dropped by just to enjoy the fire and candlelight.

I would be far too worreid to have an open house. I'd have to put too much stuff away that would be worth stealing, not cause it's valuable more it's just pretty. And I just wouldn't know who was coming through my door.
Which probably says something about where I live in the world and where your do!

You're right, of course. It's about timing ;-)

I'm sure the bad weather didn't help and it being so close to the Easter holiday as well. I know that the person who buys Inglewood is going to see the magic in it as you once did. If I lived in Australia I'd want to move right in :)

Robyn I'm glad you weren't disappointed because I thought the same sense of "not meant to be this time around" It takes time for word to get around and the perfect buyer was obviously busy that night. The setting of food and wine looks beautiful and very thoughtful.Such a lovely home!xx
