it's official

it's official. Inglewood is on the market. I honestly never thought I would see this day..but the sign is there for all to see. The monk across the road was quite taken aback when I told him today. I think he will miss me. I think I will miss him too. he said to me that I would miss my vegetable garden.

just a thought:
reading a few blogs yesterday, some questioning why they blogged, why they wrote about their day, wondering if people really wanted to read about their garden or daily life, day after day...
I started to ask myself the same question. do people really want to know what I am doing? I mean, honestly. do people get bored reading about my daily life? sometimes it is difficult to be amusing.. sometimes life is just.... life.

robyn - thats why I stopped blogging about my everyday life and now just have an art blog... my other blog was boring... ME!!! I think sometimes everyday is just that, and while mine is boring, I guess it is interesting to read about the lives of others! lol.. does tha make sense?

Moving on from a loved home - oh, it's such a strange feeling, isn't it?

As for blogging - that's another odd one, isn't it? I know I do enjoy reading about other people's daily lives; and I can only hope that mine is not totally boring to them. I follow several blogs by people based in the US, Australia and NZ, and I love that feeling of a tentative but real connection between us, a link of human hearts reaching right around the world. It reminds me that we are all sister and brother souls, with the same joys and fears and hopes and confusions; it reminds me that this whole great planet is covered with the webs of life (and that I can add one more tiny, tiny thread); it reminds me that it is night somewhere else when it is my day, and autumn somewhere even as my spring is getting started...
Hope you're doing okay over there today. Sending an aetherical hug your way...

I think we must blog for ourselves only. If something interests us, then we should blog about it. If we don't want to blog about other things, we shouldn't. Readers will either be interested in our posts or not, and that's fine.

well it sounds like things are moving along nicely! I for one never tire of reading your blog and blogging about one's life is what it's about after all, what else would one blog about if not what they know? It's like visiting with a friend and catching up over a cup of tea!

No kidding as I sit here staring at the computer wondering what to write...I like to comment though! Yeah it is funny but on reading your post today I realize, yes I do want to know what you are up to and even the little things. I think we become attached to people with similar views and feelings and by watching them go through things, it helps us to get through our stuff... we are not alone..my new friends here are just as important as my "real friends"..

It must be the collective unconscious at work, as I think of all these things I could write about and then talk myself out of as no-one will want to read!!!

Many read your blog, therefore many are interested in you and your life. I am.

Also, don't compare yourself to others (it's counter-productive!!)

Looking forward to reading your blog for years to come.

I love reading about others everyday lives. I think it helps keep me grounded. I don't feel so alone being a homemaker and its such a comfort to know others that do and feel the same things I do.
Hope you are doing well dear Robyn

I went to the Real Estate link in an earlier post and it's beautiful so I'm sure it will sell fast. I hope the buyers treat it with as much love and care that you have.

If people are visiting your blog, they are definitely interested in what you have to say. I love the sense of community in the blogging world...it has become a big part of my life. :)

I enjoy reading about your every day life Robyn. Inglewood is lovely. Someone will be very lucky to live there. I know you will make Villa Maria just as lovely and you will be happy there as well. I'd love to know which Maria you named your new home after. I understand there are several Maria's who were saints.
OMG I cannot believe baby Harry is two already!!! xoxoxoxo

I really enjoy catching up. It's interesting getting into the rhthym and flow of other's lives and bloggers, I find, are genuinely interested and care very much, no matter how day-to-day the postings. I've always looked forward to your posts...though I never thought I'd see the 'For Sale' sign on Inglewood, and can't wait for you next venture. There's a saying by Soren Kierkegaard that "Life must be lived forward but understood backwards", and that's why I enjoy reading other's blogs, to see others living forwards but understanding backwards. For me too, it has become a large part of my life, in understanding myself and other peoples perception of things. Much love to you dear Robyn, keep your lovely posts coming, and hope you're doing well today.xx

I have asked myself the same question and have not blogged for a while because of this..I think when you have cancer you become more honest with yourself and with others..We have so much fear to deal with that we want to leave our feelings somewhere. Are we boring? Are we depressing? Probably so but I hope everyone will remember that it is our expressions, our feelings..Please continue to blog as I was so happy you found me and I could follow you...always Judy
