no words, mouth full of pizza

what does one write about when there is a blank? I have been doing really well with writing a post a day but today nothing came to me.. the family silver came to mind, I even took some photos but the words stayed frozen in my head. I wracked my brains.. but absolutely not a word... so instead we went out for pizza

friday night pizza. sometimes we even go for a walk in Katoomba afterwards, telling ourselves that we are walking the pizza off.. but we eat more pizza than walk, let me tell you

Papadinos pizzeria. in Katoomba for at least 25years, owned by the same family. father and son - italian hospitality... 1960's tiled tables, red wine and pizza.. .. a place where you help yourself to the water that springs from a lions mouth and wine glasses hang from a rack. stainless steel plates and plastic cups...

a place where each table is named after a region in Italy. .. names like Sicilia, Tuscany & Firenze.. with the Beatles music playing in the background.. makes for a very interesting combination of cultures. lots of laughter, tourists and locals alike

so there you go.. not much of a post.. but my Friday night _ I love prawn, garlic & parsley pizza.. do you have a favourite?

I've always been mainly a pepperoni girl. If I get fancy, pepperoni and mushrooms. If I get exotic, then Hawaiian -- pineapple and ham. Occasionally Canadian -- back bacon and cheddar. Yum!

Great post Robyn. Daily life. Nothing fancy. Something we can all identify with. I certainly did. In fact, I felt right at home and wished that Papadino's was just down the street from US so we could have their pizza for dinner tonight.

That sounds like a perfect way to spend Friday night. Love the photos and the table names. Unfortunately around here mostly what we have are the big franchise places and they have no atmosphere at all. HB and I don't eat a lot of pizza anymore but I love the stuff! Make mine with all veggies and I'm happy! But yours sounds pretty darn good , too!!

hawaiian for me or supreme just to get really exotic! We make our own at home taste great with garden toms!

I like the gourmet ones - crumbled fetta, roasted beetroot, olives, rocket, with a thin healthy wholemeal crust, so have one occasionally for a treat with a chilled wine. I would however, never say no to any kind of pizza with a big burpy Coke.
