thankyou anonymous....

if you go and read my previous post, I whined. I make no bones about it... but today, I woke and gave thanks that it had rained overnight.. still hot but at least my plants have a reprieve...

anonymous kindly pointed out in a comment in the previous post, that I am a whinger..."My goodness, you are such a whinger. You have a roof over your head and food to eat. Only 30 percent of the world's population have that" - yes I know that, thankyou. I know that there are many, many less fortunate than I am. I give thanks daily for all my blessings, but sometimes, just sometimes I need to complain when it is hot or when I am sick. Don't we all? I complain, then I move on. (actually anonymous, if you know me then you really should realize that most of my words are a little tongue in cheek...I am actually making fun of myself...)

I have no problem in accepting anything that anonymous (he or she) said... but at least I have the courage to put my name to my words... it is times like this that I feel like making my blog a private place just for me to air my thoughts.. to complain AND to give thanks....

Hi Robyn, I wouldn't worry about anonymous comments. If somebody won't identify who they are, then their comments don't really count, do they?
I enjoy your blog. I whine and complain just like everybody else. And then we move on. Better to get it all out than allow the bad stuff to simmer inside.
Love and Light,

No! No! No private blog! I love to see your thoughts and all your comments, including annonymous ones.Isn't it funny that in any given situation in life, we could hear 100 good things about us, but it's the one negative that we focus on. That gets under our skin.We so fiercely and indignantly want to defend ourselves.Unfortunately those blunt opinion-givers are often the ones who breeze through life with the "water off a ducks back" syndrome. As you've pointed out, anonymous has a valid point, one that you've counter-parried in a dignified way, and very well,(and you know exactly where you stand with a bluntie)but oh how I love this blog Robyn, as do many...and I learn so much. Who would have thought to put a bra in the freezer! I haven't been game to venture out, so a bra just isn't on the agenda...besides, those birdies need their iceblocks.Been sneaking out to water yet?(My back is hunched from sneaking tiny little dribbles out to the marigolds)- I straighten up, wave to the neighbours (who also smile guiltily) -then remember I'm not wearing a bra...but then neither are they, and Mr.B. looks quite embarrassed about his man-boobs and beer-gut! Big hug to you -nah maybe not, too clammy.

Make your blog so it won't accept anonymous comments. You can do that without making it private if you don't want to.

I love to read what you write because it's you writning and your blog is about you and how you feel, no one else. if they don't want to read it then they can do the other thing!!! If I wrote what I really wanted to say you wouldn't be able to publish it!!

anonymous obvioulsy does NOT understand our Aussie tongue in cheek humour. We have to self depracate in order to survive what this harsh climate throws at us! We too have hungry homeless people here so we know about it, but that doesnt give us the right to have a whinge sometimes as well. Its healthy to vent and let off steam, and with this heat... who can blame us?

BTW - my tooth broke while eating a museli bar today and am sooo upset, must have been all that gnashing!!! I go to dentist tomorrow!!

Please dont go private, please......we love your blog eaxctly the way it is!!

Oh yes. The anonymous drive-by... Don't let it get to you sweetheart. That person is swimming in the mire of hate and stupidity. Let's rejoice for our unanonimity! :) Don't let those bastards get you down honey!

This is your blog home and you can post whatever the heck you want! :)

Hugs!

I agree with the others, Robyn. Don't worry about it. You can't please everyone all the time & really you shouldn't feel you have to! xx

Well said Robyn.
You are entittled to write what you want, when you want. You can whinge 24/7 if you so choose. If anonymous doesn't like it....
And for heavens sake the conditions you're living under at the moment weather wise are enough to drive anybody to moan.
And I agree with Pam.
xx
If you want to play my game then your letter is N

I wouldn't worry about anonymous comments. We all have a rant once in awhile and then we move on. That's just part of life!

Let it go Robyn.
Remember you need to be intelligent to have a sense of humour, and obviously 'Anonymous' isn't.

Don't worry about anonymous! Not only does everyone have the right to complain, but that person didn't even have the courage to put their name on their comment.

No private blog! Please? We all love reading it. =)

Please don't let that person's comment make you change your blog or you using your blog as you see fit. If she (or anyone else) doesn't like what you write, she can stop reading it.

I read your post and simply thought you were venting. We all need to do that from time to time, so we can move on from what is bothering us. It's good to read vents sometimes too, it lets us know we aren't alone in our frustrations and that too makes us feel better.

Bright Blessings!

You know that makes me so mad. It's your blog, you can say what you like, whinge as often as you want and if 'they' don't like it they can effing click away and bother somebody else.

I notice it's always the cowardly 'anonymous' commenters that say stuff like that...obviously they don't actually have the courage of their own warped convictions.

Sheesh.

Umm..., yeah, it is hot here in SA - and I'm cranky :-)

What the heck is a whinger? Was anon saying you are a whiner? Well it's your blog and you can whine or whing or sling or do any thing you want!!!!

i dont believe it is written anywhere that we are not allowed to have a good old moan and whinge on our own blogs! and we would have to be living in a remote cave not to know there are many many out there who really do have a right to moan~just because there are it doesnt mean we cant have a little moan to ourselves does it?

you just keep blogging lovely and whinge all you want to :)

Oh I have been busy and missed the hubbub! What an idiot. If someone doesn't get your humor or like your slant on life, why would they read your blog? But no, they are so brain dead they have nothing else to do than read along and make a hateful little comment. And tho it is couched mildly, that makes it all the more petty and hateful.

Do not go private, or at least invite me if you do! I love reading you and knowing you this admittedly limited way. I think making it so you can't leave comments anonymously is a good idea, at least it makes people think about what they are saying.

Hey, and when it gets hot as hades here in a few months and I am dripping with sweat, send anonymous over to my blog, then she can see some real whining, and some amazing feats of cussing too!

Don't let anyone rain on your parade, Robyn! We all need to vent sometimes - and if they don't like it, they don't have to read it.
((Hugs)) to you~XOXO

I agree. It is your blog, it's about you. It's like a diary except you are kind enough to let people in to your world.

I too am grateful I have a job and a roof over my head, but we all need to divest ourselves of things that irritate us.

XOXO

I have my days of whining too, Robyn....we are only human, after all. I hate the hot, humid heat we've been having and I whinge quite a bit about it. Don't let Anonymous get to you.....they didn't bother signing their name and, the way I see it is that, if they don't like your blog, don't bloody well read it. It's your blog and you can write about whatever you choose to.

I like to keep the option of Anonymous comments because I have a few readers that don't have blogs and the only way they can comment is via the Anonymous option.

A bird in the hand said...

Oh dear. I would say to anonymous: Pardon me for being human!

Be human, Robyn, that's all! xxoo

Robyn,

I have been complaining all winter on my blog about how cold and snowy it is, and then I complained last week about hurting my knee and the awful treatment I got at the clinic. Friends are there to vent to - and that's what we are to you. Vent all you want and forget Ms. Prissy Anonymous.
