being quiet

It may seem that I have been silent the past few days... I have my yearly cancer checkup looming.. this Friday and the usual is happening... I withdraw... oh, I know it is now 7 years on but the silly emotions still rear their ugly head each time a checkup looms.......i have tried to visit blogs but I cannot settle, I try to make up some witty comment, but my mind wanders...... so I am snuggling, creating a little art, doing my daily housework. I had a pedicure today and my toenails painted bright coral........ after my checkup, we are off to the Gypsy caravan for the weekend, so if I don't get by your blog... don't think I have forgotten you cause I haven't ... I will be by next week sometime.

this time last year: 2007

I understand, Dear. Do as feels best. Don't worry about blogging. We have to be gentle with ourselves first. Otherwise, we have nothing to give with.

And best wishes for a wonderful checkup result.

Gentle hugs,

You're in my thoughts and prayers!
I panic every year when I have my pap and mammogram and I haven't had cancer . . . yet.
My Dad is a survivor of lung cancer.
Enjoy your week-end! Blessings, Kel

I am so sorry you have lost your friend. I lost my friend Nila this month, and I do miss her. I wrote about her, too.

My father's family all came from Cornwall. Apparently we are related to an old king who got drunk one night and set fire to the cornfields and burned them all. Nobody liked him after that. Hm. I wonder why. My ancestors went from being kings to working in the salt mines.

When did I meet you before? With such a beautiful blog how could I have forgotten (unless I didn't know how to bookmark at that time).
I still don't know much, but I am smarter than I was!

Hope your health is good! Stay well, and visit me any time.

Hi Robyn, sorry I've not visited for a while, but I've been up to my neck in planting and preparing for the growing season.

Good luck for Friday, I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.
