waning moon & a poem that I love

we are in the waxing moon stage right now and Mother Earth exhales - giving off information... that is probably why I am not having alot to say at the moment... I am absorbing and gathering information.. tomorrow is Spring Equinox here in Australia...

this morning at 4am - I had to wake up, get myself ready and take Sophie to the airport in Sydney. She has gone on a 10 day holiday with her boyfriend and his parents to Airlie Beach & Daydream Is. off the coast of north Queensland..... she is on her Year 12 break at the moment and in October she sits for her Higher School Certificate. I am going to miss her BUT I am SO looking forward to this time alone... just Joe and I. Tomorrow, I am off to have a 3 hour Aboriginal Dreamtime body & soul treatment. I CANNOT wait !!!

I found this poem awhile back - it was for Daisy's poetry fest... so I thought I would share it today :~

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee;
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.
~by W. B. Yeats~

*~* I hope your day is filled with butterflies, magick, colour & fripperies! ~*~

I know that poem! its one of my favourites too. In fact I have a book of all his poetry, he was a talented poet.

I posted on my blog yesterday that i was feeling quiet, introspected, and that thats unusual as its the waxing moon, normally a time for the opposite. maybe theres something in the air, if you Robyn, me and krissie all feel the same?

Oh for goodness sake! These synchronicities are getting ridiculous! I had a dream on 10th September that I was actually living on the Lake Isle of Innisfree and wrote about it in my journal! Yeats has always been one of my favourite poets and I really love this one.

I am the same here in Dorset and stangely I was looking through one of my uni illustration books two days ago and spent ages looking at John Waterhouse's 'The Magic Circle'.
I certainly agree with Leanne, there is something in the air.

I've loved this poem too since I first read it. It transports us to a kinder gentler place.
Congratulations on your Reflections blogger award, you deserve it, being the kind reflective soul that you are.
BTW you could be 132, and never ever be lost in my estimation.
Big hugs
xx

I love that Yeats poem.

We are set to experience the autumn equinox here.

That treatment sounds wonderful but mysterious. You must let us know all about it.

XOXO,

Julie

Autumn is here....I did my best to ignore it but it is now banging on the door!

Jobs Jobs Jobs, need to get the garden sorted. Apples need to be picked, Damsons, Brambles just up the lane and the elderberries are ripening!
