an altered book of Shadows

I want to share something that is very special.

But first of all I need to point out that this isn't going to be a sad post - *Daisy* would not want us to be grieving forever - we need to fill our lives with butterflies, magick, colour (LisaOD) and fripparies(Daisy) and plus, I am trying hard to be happy & joyful....

This is a swap that *Daisy* and I were doing between us.. ... .... ages ago, we decided to make an altered book for each other. It was *Daisy*'s idea to make it a Book of Shadows ~ because our beliefs & life were so similar... my book for *Daisy* was almost finished..... we were going to send them at the same time so that they would cross paths mid-air to arrive, delivered by ravens at the very same time........
over the next few weeks - I will take you on a journey through my creation of the *altered* Book of Shadows...... to start of with is the front cover

* I found this picture of the garden in a magazine and it reminded me of Daisy's garden. I wanted to include Pixie and luckily, I found a photo in a cat food advertisement that looked alot like her... so I tucked her amongst the lavender and painted over her with a shiny paint... to make it look like she was beyond the veil.... *
next is the title page.....

* I stuck an old page from a magazine out and then cut a circle into it - behind it I put the book of shadows title.... then I proceeded to stick pages together.... I think about 6 or 7 at once, using brads and other fun stuff I found *

next is the page that I dedicated to her ..

using tie dyed paper and an old photo on the left and on the right I tore a piece from an old magazine that looked quite celtic looking, an old castle.. and I made a tag and wrote on it and attached it with a brad....

over the next weeks, I will take more photos - there are alot of pages that I want to share and I hope I don't bore you with it - but I am very proud of this work and it makes me sad that she didn't get to see it ~ I am sure she would have been delighted with it

First of all let me say how delighted I am that joy and color and fripperies and light are coming from this post AND you!
I am also glad you are sharing the Book of Shadows you made for Daisy...I know she's following along. I wasn't exactly sure what a Book of Shadows was until I researched it the other day. So to see what you put in to this will be interesting as each page unfolds here.
Sending you rainbows of color and happy spirit.
Lisa

Robyn, I've been following you now for over a year and I am amazed and your growth and change. You fell so much stronger and more secure than back time gone.

Your book for Daisy will be a wonderful tribute to her. It will be interesting to see what you choose to do with it when it is finished.

Hugs,
Annie

This is a great book Robyn.
Two things I noticed, first the name and address of the original owner in the top left side of the cover.I love to see that in an old book. The handwriting was a distinctive style in those days...
Second, the page you chose for the title page, is for houses to let. ?It reminded me immediately of Daisy's Hallow e'en story.
I'll enjoy seeing the rest of this..xx

Far from being bored I am intrigued to see a Book of Shadows.Like Lisa, although I've heard of them, I've never actually seen one nor do I really know what one is so this will be a fascinating journey. I'm so happy that you are feeling able to be positive about things now, Daisy would be proud of you.

I am so glad you are coming back to life again. "There is a time..." to live joyously. Follow Daisy's plan and have a greedy, juicy WINTER of personal delights!
