It was a bit scary, knowing what these dust storms can do when they get too big and last too long. I hope history is not beginning to repeat itself but there sure are a lot of changes taking place on dear Mother Earth. The next morning when I went to take it inside and put it in the dryer, there were little green worms all over it. Ewwwww! Yuk. I rewashed everything with bleach. Didn't care if everything turned different colours with the harsh bleach - just wanted those worms to go away!(p.s. I haven't peeked in my washer yet to see if all the colours ran). We shut up all our windows and doors but it still felt like we were breathing in dust and I'm still feeling clogged up today. The visibility was very poor too....and those WINDS!!! I have never experienced a dust storm like that before. The furniture under the pergola has a layer of red dust now. I hate cleaning as it is. :(<br /><br />Yep, it sure seemed like Mother Nature was either angry about something or doing some cleaning of her own. <br /><br />Btw, thanks for your advice re. my lavender plants...much appreciated.
